1. What is the best temperature to set my thermostat on?
Between 78 and 80 are the most common settings. Set the thermostat as high as you can while still being comfortable to minimize energy usage. According to SRP you can add 3% to your electric bill for every degree that you set your thermostat below 80.

2. How often should I change my filter?
During the summer time when your Air Conditioner is running a large percentage of the time you should change your filter once a month. This includes pleated filters that claim to be 3 month filters. During the mild months use your best judgment.

3. What kind of filters do you recommend?
We recommend pleated media filters. The pleats create a much larger surface area for filtration. These filters can be found at any home improvement store or hardware store.

5. How often should I have my unit serviced?
All air conditioning systems should be serviced twice a year. Once in the spring time before the hot summer months, and once in the fall before our winter begins.

6. How often should I have Freon added to my air conditioner?
Having Freon added to your system should not be a routine occurrence, this is a sign of a definite problem. Freon should only be added if there is a leak in the system. All Freon leaks should be evaluated to determine if the leak is repairable.
